Here are a few pointers to help an aspirant devise a strategy for Prelims

  • Prepare a Plan – Firstly an aspirant should devise a plan a few months before the exam as to how he should frame the schedule, and timetable and put aside the hours for the respective subjects.
  • Time Table – Time table should be made accordingly where proper time is allotted to the syllabus and subjects for prelims.
  • Syllabus Coverage – Preliminary preparation should start with allocating the syllabus for the exam. Selection of right syllabus may take time but it is worth it to create a distinction between what’s necessary and what isn’t.
  • Revision of HP GK – Himachal Pradesh General Knowledge carries weightage in prelims exam so aspirants should revise it rigorously.
  • Current Affairs for past 1 Year – Current Affairs include topics from Economy, Polity, International Relations, Government policies, Science, and Technology. Topics discussed in Current affairs are also important for mains GS exams.
  • CSAT Practice – CSAT is qualifying in nature but many candidates due to their laggard attitude postpone it for the final weeks thinking they will cover it on time, as a result, it backfires which further hampers the chances for qualification. So make sure to put the regular practice in CSAT.
  • Mock Tests / Test Series – Mocks are a great way of revising and checking one’s preparation. Test series helps in managing the allotted time for the questions provided. JOKTA ACADEMY SHIMLA has always stayed ahead of time and prepared the best content on Test Series for HAS Prelims and Mains.
